Hello, my name is Patrick Dooley and I currently work as a public safety dispatcher. My interest in the fire service started by hanging out in firehouses and buffing fires at a very young age with my dad in Hartford, Ct, New York City, Boston and at the Gong Club in Jersey City NJ. I became a career firefighter in Manchester, Ct. before joining the East Hartford, Ct. Fire Dept. where I retired from.
My pictures have appeared in Firehouse Magazine/web site, 1st Responder Newspaper/website and the Journal Inquirer newspaper/ web site.

Ellington, Ct 2nd alarm : On 11/6/09 at 11:44 hours The Ellington, Ct Fire Dept responded to 2205 Autumn Chase as numurous calls were being received for a structure fire. On arrival they had heavy smoke showing from the garage with explosions. According to property maintaince who were on the scene prior to the FD the garage door had blown out from one of the explosions. It was later determined that there was ammunition stored in the garage. The Vernon and Crystal Lake (Ellington, CT) fire departments assisted Ellington in extinguishing this fire.

East Hartford, Ct 2nd alarm : East Hartford, Ct responded to this second alarm at 108 Sisson St on 11/18/09 at 0353 hours. A second alarm was transmitted on arrival of first due Engine 1 due to a heavy fire condition in the rear of the building. Members made entry into the first floor but due to the heavy fire and a "colliers mansion" condition members were forced to exit the building and go to defensive mode. One occupant was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Mutual aid from Hartford and Manchester covered EHFD stations.
